Ava came to wrestling with a strong background in competitive rugby, a sport in which she competed both in high school and while at Purdue. Applying her athletic curiosity and determination to the sport of women's freestyle wrestling, Ava joined the Boilermaker women's wrestling club her sophomore year. Quickly learning the fundamentals of the sport, she has competed in several events for Purdue, including USAW Club Nationals. She is working now to develop her technique and style as she looks forward to future competition schedules.
